Our rosé is a unique blend of sustainably grown estate fruit. Made by gently pressing whole clusters, and fermented with indigenous yeasts. 2018 was a quintessential Long Island vintage, producing elegant, balanced wines with refreshing acidity and savory mineralty that reflect the maritime climate of the North Fork.
60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvginon.
Our Sauvignon Blanc is made by gently pressing whole clusters of sustainably farmed, estate grown fruit from our sites at Bedell and Corey Creek. It is then fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in steel to maximize its youthfulness and aromatic character. The 2018 vintage was unique and exceptional. Mark Squires of the Wine Advocate said “Many on the East Coast make fruity Sauvignon with grass and green notes. What they sometimes lack, however, is some zing and zest - I love the way Bedell's Sauvignons accomplish that.”
Our Viognier grows on some of the oldest vines in North America. Fragrant and fruit forward, with a flinty minerality, the wine is fermented in steel from our sustainably grown grapes using indigenous yeasts. The 2018 vintage provided exceptional growing conditions. Thomas Matthews of Wine Spectator said “This modest white is clean and fresh, with a touch of hard-candy sweetness to its tangerine and white peach flavors.”
A balanced and refreshing Chardonnay with expressive fruit and complex savory minerality. Made from hand-harvested grapes farmed sustainably on our estate from multiple clones on different field sites. James Molesworth of the Wine Spectator said "[Bedell] Chardonnay is [a] successful bottling, relying on a fresh, breezy persona to deliver unadorned pear and green apple notes with a verbena hint."
First Crush is a unique red blend made with sustainably farmed young vine fruit, and aged in stainless steel to preserve its easygoing character. The 2018 vintage was unique and exceptional. Lettie Teague of The Wall Street Journal described it as, “A light juicy blend, pretty, uncomplicated, marked by soft tannins and bright red berry fruit.”
60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc.
Bedell has become synonymous with top Merlots for over 30 years. The 2018 vintage is no exception, following in the footsteps of the 2009 Merlot that was served at the Presidential Inauguration. Made from hand harvested sustainably farmed fruit. Jay McInerney of The Wall Street Journal said “Anybody who thinks they don’t like Merlot should try this one, fleshy but not flabby, this [is a] complex, aromatic, medium-bodied red.”
