EVENT ASSISTANT

Bedell Cellars is searching for a qualified individual to fill the position of Events Assistant to provide seasonal, part-time support to the Events department during the 2026 wedding season, May through mid October. Our ideal candidate will be outgoing, personable, and possess strong leadership and verbal skills. The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment is a must. Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays

  • Remain professionally poised and positive while under pressure

  • Experience in a hospitality related environment; wine, restaurant and/or hotel is preferred

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs

  • Must live local

Responsibilities will include:

  • On-site assistance during events to help manage vendor setup and breakdown

  • Supervise delivery and pick-up of rentals

  • Spot checking the property the morning after events

  • Light property maintenance and general event preparation

  • Organizing and stocking the events beverage closet

  • Update and package together wedding inquiry packets for potential clients

  • Occasionally meet with potential clients to show the property

  • Assist with day-of coordination as necessary

HARVEST INTERN POSITIONS (FILLED)

Bedell Cellars is a 45-year-old sustainably farmed and family-owned estate vineyard and winery making some of the most critically acclaimed wines from the North Fork of Long Island.

As part of our harvest team our interns will work under the direction of the Winemaker and the Assistant Winemaker. The cellar/production interns will be assisting with the winemaking from harvest through fermentation/barreling down.  Some bottling of previous vintage wines will also take place. This is a comprehensive internship with exposure to many aspects of winemaking and production, including but not limited to: vineyard sampling, grape reception and processing, indigenous fermentation management, equipment operation and sanitation.

Candidates should be highly motivated, able to work long hours and have a serious interest in wine production. Previous harvest experience is plus. This temporary position will span from September 1 through mid-December depending on harvest conditions. Candidates must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs., have their own means of transportation and housing.
