Let me just start off by saying that I hate the term “blog.” It’s a word that sounds like a description of something plodding or clumsy. Like someone stuck in a muddy field. I’ve been stuck in muddy fields so I know. I’d like to believe this little area of commentary is going to be something a little more – shall we say – elegant? Perhaps that is too much of a wine descriptor. Creative and thought-provoking but in particular – fun. There is much to read and see about wine on the internet – kind of ironic as in reality the best way to learn about wine is to, well, taste and drink it. I’m going to have to be really good if I’m going to provide you with any interesting distractions and I am certainly going to try my best.This is a journal, a journal of what goes on in this winemaker’s mind – the good the bad and the wine soaked. Much of it I’m making up as I go along which is what most of us do on any given day anyway. So here it is. I warned you. There is my disclaimer. So we take it from here.
