The Bedell Cellars Tasting Room was renovated in 2001, completing the first stage of an extensive renovation of its historic building on the North Fork of Long Island. The ceiling was raised to reveal the full height and character of the original barn structure that was built in 1919. A split mezzanine was added, along with a fireplace to warm up a cold winter's day. From the mezzanine, visitors now have a sweeping view of the vineyards and can look into the winery and state-of-the-art bottling line. The high ceilings and multi-level space also make an ideal showcase for owner Michael Lynne's private art collection, featuring the works of such renowned artists as Sam Taylor-Wood, Cindy Sherman, Uta Barth and Sarah Morris.

The Guest Cottage at Bedell Cellars dates back to the late 1700's and has historic landmark status. Its pergola-covered entrance path is lined with wisteria and leads to a lavender and herb garden, all designed by landscape architect Edmund Hollander of Edmund Hollander Design.

During the warmer months, visitors can taste the wines and picnic in the shaded lawn adjacent to the Cottage's apple orchard and the vineyards. Visitors can also enjoy the views from a beautiful outdoor Pavilion connected to the tasting room.

The Bedell Cellars Tasting Room and Cottage were redesigned by the architectural firm of Samuels & Steelman in Cutchogue, NY, with interior design by Vincente Wolfe Associates Inc. of New York City.

Tasting Room Hours:
Open year round, seven days a week, from 11:00-5:00
Open until 6:00 on weekends (Fri-Sat-Sun) from Memorial Day through Halloween
Closed New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas

VIP Tours and Tastings:
Weekends at 12 & 3pm

Tour and Tasting will last approximately 2 hours

Weekdays by appointment only - 8 person minimum

$25 per person
15 people maximum per tour

Reservations need to be made at least 5 days in advance with a credit card to hold your reservation. (Cancellations are accepted 48 hours prior to your appointment)

Your own personal host/hostess will provide an in depth tour and history of Bedell Cellars, from the beginnings of the winery with the original owners, Kip & Susan Bedell, to the vision for success of our current owner Mr. Michael Lynne.

There will be a detailed tour of Mr. Lynnes premier contemporary art collection currently being displayed in the Tasting Room.

You will have a complete tour of our grounds, vineyard, and the winemaking process.

You will finish your day with us with a private tasting in our apple orchard (weather permitting) to be followed by a relaxing moment with a complimentary glass of wine and assorted cheeses and croustades.
